Packaging/Carton Designer

RemoteVA is looking for a Packaging/Carton Designer with hands-on experience in structural design for folding cartons (chipboard boxes). This role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision, creativity, and technical expertise in packaging design. As a key part of our creative team, you will be responsible for designing packaging that is functional, brand-appropriate, and cost-efficient. Your work will be pivotal in helping our clients bring their products to market safely and stylishly.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop folding carton structures to fit specific product dimensions and client requirementsCreate dielines and 3D prototypes using ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD DesignCollaborate with clients and production teams to ensure accurate specs and production readinessRecommend box styles and materials based on product protection, cost-efficiency, and brandingMaintain organized project files and version controlOptimize structural design for manufacturability and assemblyStay up to date with industry trends and materialsRequirementsQualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in folding carton/structural packaging designProficient in ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD DesignStrong understanding of packaging materials, die-cutting, gluing, and finishing processesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to interpret client needs and translate them into packaging solutionsExperience with various folding styles (e.
