Job DescriptionESD-LU Characterization and Failure Analysis / Quality Assurance Engineer Renesas is looking for an entry level engineer to perform ESD-LU testing and failure analysis on semiconductor devices. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent. Responsibilities/Duties Perform ESD and Latch-up qualification and characterization for new and revised products. Develop ESD-HBM and LU test programs in accordance with JEDEC/AEC standards. Operate ATE testing of semiconductor devices, ex. Teradyne-UFLEX, Advantest-93K. Update test status to internal teams on a regular basis.

Debug weaker pins using FA techniques and TLP testing. Work with Design and Application Teams to identify the failure cause. Provide clear and concise documentation of results and publish reports. Qualifications A self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal problem-solving skills. Familiarity with JEDEC and AEC standards for ESD and LU testing. Hands on with Oscilloscopes and electronic testing equipments. Basic understanding for failure analysis of semiconductor devices. Technical degree (Bachelor, Master) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent. Ideally, knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and packaging of integrated circuits. Good skills regarding MS Office. Fluent in English and German.
