The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading large scale digital transformation programs, with a proven ability to oversee complex multi project portfolios in fast paced, evolving and complex environments. They lead from the front with confidence, decisiveness and ownership. They are adept at engaging senior stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This includes a strong understanding of PMO frameworks and methodologies to manage complex projects, with hands on experience in planning, executing and delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required standards.
The candidate is skilled at handling multiple projects, fostering cross functional collaboration, and operating in evolving or newly formed teams with minimal established structure. A strong foundation in program management methodologies, including PRINCE2, PMP or Agile frameworks, is essential. The candidate demonstrates proficiency in managing project governance, risk assessment and resource allocation at a program level. They set and track OKRs and run effective steering committees at both strategic and tactical levels. Experience using project tracking tools is highly valued, as it will allow the candidate to optimise workflows, integrate the platform across teams and drive visibility and accountability.
They produce clear, effective documentation and can adapt presentation formats to suit the audience and the decision at hand. Beyond technical expertise, this role requires a leader with excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, especially with non-technical audiences.
