Job Description

ReOrbit is looking for an experienced AIT professional to join our head office in Helsinki to lead our AIT group, providing strategic definition to our approach to AIT across multiple sites to ensure mission success. As our Head of AIT you will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing all spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing activities across the company’s facilities. This role ensures readiness and flawless execution of AIT procedures for flight hardware, from subassembly through environmental testing to launch site integration.

As we scale to manufacturing and launching multiple satellites in parallel, the Head of AIT will play a critical role in building repeatable, high-reliability processes and growing a world-class technical teamIt's an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to make a real impact by defining our AIT strategy and creating a world class team which will truly influence the direction and overall success of ReOrbit. ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the AIT strategy across multiple programs and sites, ensuring consistency, safety, and mission success. Build and manage a multidisciplinary AIT team across clean room and lab facilities.

Ensure all clean rooms, test labs, and integration areas are properly equipped, maintained, and certified. Lead the specification and commissioning of new AIT infrastructure as the company scales. Oversee all functional, environmental, RF, and system-level testing, ensuring flight hardware meets spec. Collaborate with launch providers and ground support teams for launch campaign readiness and operations. Own the interface with quality assurance during AIT phases, ensuring full traceability and documentation. Skills And Requirements10+ years of experience in spacecraft AIT, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.

Demonstrated success in delivering hardware for orbital missions, from integration through launch. Proven ability to scale AIT operations across multiple spacecraft or constellation programs. Deep understanding of spacecraft systems, clean room procedures, and environmental testing standards. Experience with small satellite platforms, modular AIT strategies, or high-throughput production environments.
