Oulu Mining School gathers core disciplines of the mining value chain at the geosciences, geophysics, mining engineering, and mineral processing sectors.About The JobThe candidate will research projects related to data processing and modelling of geophysical seismic interferometry, enhanced by machine learning and deep learning.The position is to advance geophysical data processing using structured workflows, investigating and incorporating as part of the Master's thesis or Diploma research. SalaryThe position is fixed-term (6 months) starting from 01.04.2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.The salary will be based on the OV01 level of the demand level chart for teaching and research staff at Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component).
