The Ma lab uses both gnotobiotic Arabidopsis and the associated bacterial culture collection to understand the principles governing plant-microbiota homeostasis. Our research employs a multitude of omics techniques including 16S amplicon sequencing, transcriptomics and proteomics for functional analyses. The lab is currently looking for a motivated candidate to work on a CRISPR editing project with subsequent phenotyping.
