The third-party funded project is part of the BMBF research group “PerMed COPD – Personalized Medicine for the Prevention and Treatment of COPD – Prospective Clinical Study and Molecular Biomarkers. An extension is possible if the project is extended.Tasks:research duties in close collaboration with other groups within the research consortiumBiostatistical and bioinformatics analyses of molecular-genetic data to elucidate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)analysis of genome-wide and methylome-wide association studies (GWAS/MWAS) from large patient cohortsanalysis of transcriptome-wide expression data generated by bulk or single-cell sequencing (e.g., 10x Genomics)development of new methods for disease-risk prediction and patient stratification by integrating genetics and other omics datasetsThe position will be filled by a temporary contract that is limited to the period which is necessary to gain further scientific expertise (scientific orientation and project development).
