CLEAN works with around 50,000 people all over Bangladesh through partners, especially at the climate hotspots and energy hubs. CLEAN also works with partners in the South Asia sub-region as the focal point of the South Asia Just Transition Alliance (SAJTA). CLEAN grounds its Thematic Pillars and strategies at the community level to ensure the efforts are translated to the local communities and tailored to local realities. CLEAN involves students, academicians, researchers, social leaders, media, local government, and policymakers to create an enabling environment for people and the ecology.Working EnvironmentJob Station: Khulna city, but frequent visits are required (at least 30% of the active time)Report to the Operation Coordinator and Chief Executive [exceptional]Supervise Research Officer and Research Interns.Work Days: Saturday - Thursday, except public holidaysWorking Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch breakDuration: Two years initially with an option of extensionResponsibilitiesCarrying out feasibility studies, surveys, and policy analyses related to the energy sector.Analyzing technical data and estimating the potential of energy generation from Renewable sources.Reviewing the renewable energy projects ESIA documents.Reviewing articles and nourishing team members for better output.Writing and presenting research, study, and program reports.Supporting colleagues for capacity building on just and equitable transition in BangladeshPrepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documents.Conduct energy audits and analyze energy consumption data to identify savings opportunities.Stay updated on energy efficiency technology, market trends, and relevant legislation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate energy efficiency into operational practices.Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental ScienceBachelor of Science (BSc) in Geography and EnvironmentBachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic EngineeringBachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Statistics and Data ScienceSkills Required: Research, policy advocacy, Development Research, Energy Management, Qualitative research, Solar energy, Renewable Energy, Energy Policy, Energy Planning, Research MethologyExperience Requirements3 to 4 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO,Development Agency,Research OrganizationEligibilityBasic knowledge of Bangladesh's energy system, particularly the power sector and primary energy supply, green energy policies including renewable sources;A clear understanding of data management, analysis, synthesizing, and narrative building.At least three (3) years of experience in the field of research and management experience with extensive knowledge of the environment and related aspects, i.e., sustainability, energy, power, or industrial sector;Published at least two (2) research papers for any reputed organizations, institutions, or international journals.EqualitySalaryTk. 32000 - 35000 (Monthly)
