Research EngineerApplication Deadline: Nov. 16, 2025Location: Arendal, GrimstadWe’re looking for a Research Engineer to join our dynamic team, contributing to the design, assembly, and testing of next-generation battery cells.As a Research Engineer, you’ll be working hands-on in the lab, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving advancements in battery cell manufacturing. Your work will directly support pilot-scale and mass production, helping to shape the future of energy storage.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and optimization of battery cell designs through experiments.Support pilot and mass production processes, including documentation and process improvement.Contribute to the development and refinement of manufacturing processes, ensuring quality standards are met.Develop and optimize slurry formulations and processes.Coating of high quality electrodes with our state-of-the-art roll-to-roll coater.Interpret experimental results and provide insights to guide team decisions.Collaborate with R&D teams to foster innovation and share knowledge.Maintain lab equipment, follow safety protocols, and manage lab supplies.Document experiments and assist in preparing technical reports.Skills & RequirementsBachelor to Master´s degree, preferably within electrochemistry, materials science, chemistry, or similarStrong practical lab skills, especially in materials characterization or assembly.Analytical mindset with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from data.Team-oriented and collaborative approach.Commitment to safety and adherence to lab protocols.Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.Adaptability and eagerness to learn new techniques.About the companyJoin our mission and help us accelerate the green energy transitionTo solve the climate crisis, we need to accelerate the green energy transition.
