About The RoleFor informal enquiries, please contact Professor Sophie Staniszewska (Professor of Patient and Public Involvement and Experiences of Care) at sophie.staniszewska@warwick.ac.uk.This is an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher with experience in patient and public involvement and engagement and applied health research to support the design, delivery and evaluation of the patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) workstream of the CD3 Cancer Data-Driven Detection (CD3) Programme.CD3 is a new, multidisciplinary and multi-institutional strategic national research programme dedicated to using data to transform our understanding of cancer risk and enable early interception of cancers. It represents a major, multi-million-pound flagship investment funded through a strategic programme award by Cancer Research UK, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), and the Peter Sowerby Foundation; in partnership with Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) and the Economic and Social Research Council’s Administrative Data Research UK programme (ADR UK).”About YouThe successful candidate will have significant enthusiasm for working with patients and the public in collaborative ways in health research and data science and an ability to convey key concepts n accessible ways.You will hold a PhD in health services research or social sciences, or a related discipline, and have experience in patient and public involvement and engagement, and qualitative research methods. You will have experience of undertaking literature reviews, interviews and focus groups, qualitative analysis and be able to support the development and delivery of public engagement activities.You will have excellent academic writing skills, and wider communication skill.
