Trinity College Dublin- an introduction.Post ID: 038677Departments: School of Dental Science & School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical SciencesPost Summary: The School of Dental Science (SoDS) (0.5FTE) and School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SoPPs) (0.5 FTE) (the partner Schools) seek to appoint a Research Impact Officer to work with the Schools to strategically advance a culture of research impact across the partner Schools, build awareness of and capacity in research impact among staff, and support researchers to understand and articulate the impacts of their research and translational activities.To this end, the Research Impact Officer will develop and implement a range of activities that actively embed and support impact across the Schools: from planning and enabling research impact, to capturing, communicating and monitoring. A key focus of the Research Impact Officer is to identify, support the development of, and communicate the diversity of impacts arising from the partner Schools’ research – from basic to translational activities to innovation activities. This will be achieved by building and managing effective means of defining and capturing impact, communicating impact through the development of a repository of impact case studies aligned to College’s Research Strategy, and reporting on both quantitative and qualitative data to raise the profile of the partner School’ research impact, both internally and externally.Post status: Specific Purpose ContractThe specific purpose of this employment is to work with the Schools to strategically advance a culture of research impact across the partner Schools, build awareness of and capacity in research impact among staff, and support researchers to understand and articulate the impacts of their research and translational activities. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as it is expected that work involved in advancing the culture of research impact within the two Schools will be complete within a definite period of time.Hours of Post: 35 hours per weekSalary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€58,599 - €69,325 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales.
