Its unmatched versatility makes it ideal across a wide range of applications while providing greater cost and supply stability for food manufacturers.We are now looking for an experienced Research Technician to join our Analytics team in Helsinki, Finland!In this position, you will play an essential role in supporting projects with impactful analytical measurements. Your work will contribute towards our goal of providing animal-free egg protein ingredients to the world. Our team utilizes microbial production systems for expressing egg white proteins using filamentous fungi that requires new and routine analytical measurements.Position OverviewThe Research Technician will support the Analytics team by performing routine and novel analytical methods to monitor and optimize R&D processes, directly contributing to the development of Onego’s animal-free egg protein ingredients. The role requires hands-on laboratory work, operation and maintenance of advanced analytical instrumentation, and precise lab skills.Your Responsibilities As Analytics TechnicianPerform routine analytical procedures using advanced instrumentation (e.g., HPLC/UPLC systems) to ensure high-quality and reliable data.Conduct molecular biology techniques, such as total protein analysis, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and Western blots.Ensure the operational readiness of the analytical devices.Method development together with the R&D teamEvaluate samples, data, and instrumentation to provide insights and troubleshoot.Maintain accurate research records using electronic lab notebooks and databases.Who We Are Looking ForCompleted technical degree in laboratory sciences (e.g. laboratory technician, laboratory analyst, laboratory engineer).Preference for candidates with experience in HPLC and protein analyticsProficiency in laboratory techniques with a focus on accuracy, precision, and reliability.Sufficient verbal and written English skills to follow working instruction and document results.As a Person, You Will Need The FollowingIndependence in executing and planning your daily tasksConfidence in executing experimentsGood communication skillsInitiative: Curiosity, proactivity, and a willingness to ask questions to achieve success.Adaptability: Tolerance for the dynamic and varied nature of a start-up environment while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.At Onego Bio, You’ll EnjoyAnalytics with an impact.
