University of Prince Murgin (UPM) is looking for a caliber to fill vacancy of Full Time Researcher:The researcher will be responsible for conducting high-quality research & innovation activities within the research center and research lab. This role involves designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, publishing research findings, and contributing to the overall research objectives of the center, DSRGS and university. Other major duties include supporting the DSRGS in its efforts to boost ongoing funding efforts, collaborations and initiatives as well as supporting research groups. The researcher will collaborate with other faculty members, students, and external partners to advance research initiatives.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct research & innovation activities including; experiments, surveys, studies, generating hypotheses, analyzing data, and draw conclusions from research findings.Support collaboration and networking opportunities by the center’s/lab’s researchers.Seek external research funding by writing grant proposals and securing research grants and assist in managing grant-funded projects and meeting project deliverables.Engage in publications and intellectual property development, including preparing research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals/conferences and patent submissions.Lead and work within a team in various interdisciplinary projects.Mentor students and junior researchers in research methodologies and project execution. Provide guidance and support to research assistants and team members.Adhere to ethical and professional standards including university policies relating to the research activities.Manages, liaises and coordinates research & innovation projects that are conducted within the research center and its research groups.Holds training seminars and workshops relating to research & innovation mentorship, research quality and impact as well as other needed areas.Manage and analyze research data using appropriate statistical and analytical tools, andaccurate and organized records of research processes and outcomes.Stay abreast of advancements in the field of specialization and pursue professional development opportunities to enhance research skills.Performs other duties as assigned by line manager.Required Education, Skills and Experience:A Ph.D. in the required specialization area with ideally 3+ years of research experience.Minimum of three years of experience in a higher education institution or a research institute.Demonstrated track record of research publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.Strong analytical and quantitative skills and experience in designing and conducting experiments or studies.Proficiency in relevant research methodologies and tools.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Grant writing and project management experience is preferred.Excellent command of both English and Arabic Language (spoken and written).Effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently, attend to multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.Specialization areas include:Smart Cities and Sustainability (Technology & Engineering perspective).Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security.Special job demands (working conditions, travel, hazards, etc.):Serve in Center/Department/Deanship/Vice rectorate and needed committees.Participate in Center/Department/Deanship/Vice rectorate/University activities where required.Be able to travel as needed for business, conferences, research projects and grants.Flexibility to work irregular hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.Adherence to university policies and guidelines related to research ethics and integrity.Evening and weekend work may be required.Application Procedure:Please apply online and we will get in touch if the screening committee shortlists you for an interview.University of Prince Mugrin is located in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
