The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.About the Program: Residential Treatment Program (STRTP): This short-term residential therapeutic program provides services to pregnant, parenting, and at-risk young women (and their children) ages 13-18 in the foster care and/or juvenile justice system. These youth are typically placed by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or Probation Department.Role Summary: Responsible for monitoring, supervising, and guiding the residents in their daily routine. Provides a healthy, therapeutic and safe environment for residents and their children in their direct care.Schedules AvailableSunday - Wednesday; 7:00am to 4:00pm, with a flex day 7:00pm to 3:00pm Wednesday - Saturday; 7:00am to 4:00pm, with a flex day 7:00pm to 3:00pm Wednesday - Saturday; 3:00pm to 12:00am, with a flex day 3:00pm to 11:00pm Sunday - Wednesday; 3:00pm to 12:00am, with a flex day 3:00pm to 11:00pmLocation: 155 N Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide supervision, protection, and care of residents individually and in groups at all time. Provide assistance to each resident in working with a group and in handling individual problems. Administer discipline and setting of limits for behavior. Document residents' progress; identify possible need for professional services; communicate such findings to professional staff. Ensure safety of residents while transporting to and from appointments as needed. Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne's, licensing, HIPAA, and other regulatory agencies.QualificationsMust meet one of the followingBachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related degree Have obtained a valid Child Development Teaching Permit. Have completed 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, Foster and Kinship Care Education, or Psychology and have completed at least 100 hours of on-the-job experience working with youth. Have a valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor or Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and have completed at least 100 hours of on-the-job experience working with youth. Have a valid vocational training certificate, credential, or documentation demonstrating that the individual is a trade journeyperson who instructs children in vocational skills and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth as a mentor, athletic coach, teacher, vocational coach, tutor, counselor, or other relevant experience as determined by the department. Previously been employed as a full-time staff or served as a volunteer at a group home, short-term residential therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program for at least one year. Have relevant life experience in the child welfare, mental health or juvenile justice systems as a consumer, mentor, or caregiver, or life experience with children who have experienced high levels of trauma, or other relevant experience as determined by the department.Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier.St. Anne's Family Services is an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply!
