The candidate will join the F&B Team which is operational on the entire property, from the restaurant to the pool, the large gardens, the lounge bar area and front lake. The Team is also active on the many events which are taking place on site during the whole season offering a large scope of experience on Food& Beverage.Villa Làrio is looking for a Restaurant Manager with years of experience in the luxury service area to join our F&B Department. We are looking for a passionate candidate who has good interpersonal and organizational skills and believes to have the propensity for relationships with customers.What will you be doing?Detailed knowledge of the menu and being able to articulate it enthusiastically.Know the steps of service as outlined in the service manual.Make guests feel comfortable and enhance the guest experience.Inform guests of specials and menu changes.Anticipate guests' needs and exceed their expectationsSupervise the clearing of tables and mise-en-place necessary for the nextcourse.Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day. Inspect thecleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use.Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, andspecial requests to the kitchen.Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned tables including ensuringcourses are cleared and tables are properly crumbled.Communicate with guests and other employees and ensure staff is workingtogether as a team to ensure optimum service.Delegate work to demi/commis during serviceBe able to take on Head Waiter duties in his/her absence, including thetraining of Commis De Rangs & traineesTo liaise with the Commis/ Demi to ensure that the preparations and mise enplace are correct and to the standard.Monitor and observe guests' dining experience.Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.Provide constant reports to the F&B ManagerRespond promptly and courteously to any requests.What are we looking for?Requirements:Work Experience in the Luxury Hospitality SectorWine knowledge, refined tasting skills, and expertise in food and wine pairingExcellent knowledge of English and ItalianPlanning and organization of restaurant activities referring to executive Chef and F&B manager (Bar – Restaurant – Room Service)Ability to collaborate with other departments (Kitchen - Bar - Events - Reception)LeadershipAbility to manage one's collaborators both on a professional and human levelConstant training of your staffPreparation of weekly timetables ensuring both service optimization and employee requestsWelcoming customers at the restaurant, taking orders and supervising the performance of the serviceBanquet management during eventsExcellent communication skills, customer orientationManagement of your suppliers and administrative documentationRestaurant Department Expense MonitoringAbility to handle complaintsProblem SolvingApplication of current regulations relating to prevention and safety and the HACCP planPLACE OF WORK – PERIOD OF OFFERVilla Lario is located at Pognana Lario on the East bank of lake Como in Lombardia, Italy, 20 minutes from the City of Como.
