With a strong presence across the Benelux region and an expansive European network, the firm offers an entrepreneurial culture paired with the execution standards of a top-tier consultancy.The OpportunityThe Amsterdam office is seeking a Senior Associate / Manager to play a central role in advising businesses undergoing transformation, distress, or strategic repositioning. The position offers direct exposure to senior decision-makers, accelerated responsibility on live mandates, and the ability to shape turnaround strategies that influence clients’ long-term viability.This is a high-impact role for someone seeking to work at the intersection of strategy, finance and restructuring within a fast-growing practice.Key ResponsibilitiesLead critical workstreams across restructuring and turnaround engagements, including liquidity assessment, short-term cash forecasts, viability analysis and financial restructuring options.Develop actionable turnaround plans, covering operational stabilisation, covenant renegotiation, stakeholder management, and value-creation roadmaps.Act as a trusted client advisor, preparing and delivering materials for boards, lenders, and shareholders during periods of heightened uncertainty.Drive transaction-linked workstreams, such as independent business reviews (IBRs), refinancing support, contingency planning, and strategic alternatives assessments.Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution across financial modelling, market analysis, and strategic scenario planning.Mentor junior consultants, providing guidance on analytical approaches, modelling standards, and client communication.Contribute to commercial development, including involvement in pitches, diagnostic assessments, and thought-leadership initiatives aimed at expanding the restructuring footprint in the region.Candidate ProfileMaster’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related quantitative field.4–7 years’ experience in restructuring, transaction advisory, financial due diligence, or strategy consulting with exposure to complex financial situations.Strong modelling capability with fluency in liquidity planning, covenant analysis and scenario-based forecasting.Excellent communication skills with the confidence to interact with senior stakeholders in time-critical situations.Demonstrates ownership, intellectual curiosity and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage but not essential.What This Role OffersThe chance to join a high-growth restructuring practice at a pivotal stage of its expansion in the Netherlands.Exposure to high-stakes mandates involving multinational corporates, private equity portfolio companies and lender groups.A collegial environment with direct access to senior leadership and clear visibility for rapid progression.Integration into a pan-European advisory network with opportunities for cross-border project work.A culture built around entrepreneurship, autonomy and impact, offering more responsibility and client proximity than traditional large-firm models.
