RETAIL OPERATIONS REGIONAL MANAGERBoxer Superstores is a rapidly growing Supermarket chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. Owing to our growth, we are looking for Retail Operations Regional Managers across different provinces.Scope of the job: Responsible for a region within the division: ensuring sales, profit, operating procedures and store standard expectations are metKey ResponsibilitiesSales management Identify sales opportunity – internal and externalCheck department /category sales performanceStore/Merchandise management Evaluate success of promotionsOverall responsibility for achievement of regions budgetFinance and Admin - monitor budget and accuracy and control of expensesPeople management- training, coaching and mentoring staffSuccession planning for management & key staffRecruitment - Authorising additional staff if requiredDiscipline – chairing and attending enquiriesMeetings with senior store staff & shop stewardsOHS – monitor complianceMonitor house-keeping & food hygieneCustomer service – resolve Customer queries efficientlyShrinkage management- Shrinkage committee & Security checks in placeReplenishment system -Check calling cyclesCheck correct ordering proceduresOut of stocks address problem suppliers with relevant buyerStockholding Ensure stock holding is in line with company targetEducation and skillsNon-negotiablesMatric essential- Relevant Diploma or Degree will be advantageousAt least 5 years food retail experienceMust have at least 5 years management experienceMust have vast knowledge and understanding of HR, IR and Labour policiesSound understanding of Boxers brand, values, vision and cultureMust have full knowledge of relevant systems , processes and products (eg, Bomm)High level understanding of the organizational structures and business flowsFull understanding of the services department range, product knowledge and product planning and schedules.Understand and able to work with Excel , word and power point- must be able to prepare reports and presentationsMust have a valid drives license and be able to travel extensivelyIf you are excited about Retail and you are excited about joining a progressive, growing and forward thinking business that encourages career development, then kindly upload your CV to your profile to become a part of this incredible business.
