Mode Search is partnering with a leading international luxury retailer to appoint a retail Training Manager to be based from their location just outside of Milan.This role plays a key part in elevating talent standards, strengthening brand partner support, and enhancing customer experience through best-in-class training and development programmes across a prestigious retail environment.The role reports into the Brand Talent & Training Director and works closely with the senior retail leadership team.This position is permanent, full-time, and requires on site working 4 to 5 days a week.The Role Develop and execute training strategy to enhance skills and performance for brand employeesDesign and deliver targeted development programmes in partnership with the Talent & Training Director and retail leadershipMeasure programme effectiveness and report on ROI quarterlyLead special learning initiatives, including a Retail Academy modelImprove store management capability through structured training programmesAssess brand-led training and ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experienceManage training budgets, ensuring cost control and return on investmentSource and manage external/internal subject experts for programme deliveryEnhance retail-focused development training (conversion, VM, membership, cultural awareness)Update and redesign existing learning content where requiredCoach Store Managers and support ongoing skills developmentChampion organisational culture and values through learning initiativesResearch emerging L&D technologies and methodologiesUtilise customer experience and ambassador programme results to inform training actionsAdminister and enhance the brand recruitment platform, ensuring adoption and engagement across all partnersTrack headcount and vacancies; implement hiring strategies to support talent availability forRepresent the brands at recruitment events; build strong partnerships with universities and talent communitiesOversee seasonal and temporary staffing strategy to ensure optimal talent levels during key trading periodsRequirements Experience in premium or luxury retail and retail trainingDegree in Education or a related fieldProven success developing and rolling out large-scale training initiativesStrong cross-functional collaboration capabilitiesExcellent stakeholder and communication skillsEnergetic, passionate and committed to developing othersStrong analytical, problem-solving and project management skillsHighly organised with a proactive approachFluency in English and Italian; additional European languages are advantageousInterested?
