We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to take ownership of all revenue-related accounting functions across corporate and franchise operations. This position is responsible for end-to-end revenue processes including franchise royalty invoicing, collections, reconciliations, reporting, and analysis. The successful candidate will be a proactive business partner, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all revenue reporting streams. Key Responsibilities Franchise Royalties & CollectionsCalculate, prepare, and issue monthly royalty and advertising fund invoices to all franchisees.Monitor accounts receivable, drive timely collections, and proactively address overdue balances.Validate royalty calculations by reconciling reported franchise sales to cash deposits.Investigate variances and resolve discrepancies with franchise partners and operations teams.Provide senior management with weekly and monthly reporting on royalties, collections, and trends.Revenue Accounting & ReconciliationsOwn the complete revenue cycle across all brands (corporate and franchise).Reconcile sales from POS systems to bank deposits and accounting records.Ensure revenue recognition is accurate, timely, and aligned with accounting standards.Prepare and maintain reconciliations for AR, deposits, intercompany, and other revenue-related accounts.Maintain an audit-ready revenue file with supporting schedules and documentation.Month-End Close & ReportingLead revenue-related journal entries (royalties, gift cards, third-party delivery, loyalty, accruals, deferrals).Deliver accurate monthly revenue schedules and support consolidated financial statements.Assist with quarterly and annual public company filings and related disclosure requirements.Partner with operations to validate reported sales, highlight risks, and improve accuracy of financial data.Audit, Compliance & Continuous ImprovementProvide revenue-related documentation and support for internal and external audits.Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax requirements, and public company standards.Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline the revenue cycle.Support technology integrations (POS, QBO, franchise systems) to improve accuracy and efficiency. Skills & Qualifications3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue, AR, or franchise accounting.Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.Proven experience in royalty, collections, or multi-location/QSR revenue environments.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations); strong systems orientation.Experience with QuickBooks Online, POS systems, and multi-entity accounting is an asset.Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with both finance and operations.
