RF Engineer (Marine Radio Systems)

Job Title: RF Engineer (Marine Radio Systems) – Base Location:Al Khobar, Saudi ArabiaOverview:We are seeking experienced RF Engineers with a strong background in marine radio and communication systems. The successful candidates will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and maintenance of RF communication systems used on ships and offshore installations.This role requires solid technical expertise in marine VHF, MF/HF, AIS, radar, satellite, and GMDSS systems, as well as practical experience in troubleshooting, RF measurements, and compliance with international maritime communication standards.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and integrate RF communication systems for marine and offshore applications.Conduct RF testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting using professional measurement tools.Ensure compliance with relevant maritime and RF communication standards.Perform antenna system design, impedance matching, and grounding for marine environments.Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of marine communication equipment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and compliant system performance.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an RF or Marine Communications Engineer.Proven hands-on experience with marine radio systems, including:VHF, MF/HF, AIS, GMDSS, Inmarsat, and radar.Strong practical knowledge of RF measurement and diagnostic tools such as:Spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.In-depth understanding of antenna systems, impedance matching, and grounding in marine installations.Familiarity with RF design/simulation software (e.g., CST, HFSS, ADS, or equivalent) is an advantage.Knowledge of maritime communication standards, including:ITU-R, IEC 60945, IEC 61162, SOLAS, and GMDSS.Good understanding of RF safety, EMC/EMI, and environmental constraints in marine applications.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Application Requirements:Submit updated resumes highlighting relevant marine radio and RF engineering experience for each candidate.
