RFIC System Characterisation Engineer

I’m recruiting for an RF IC Characterisation Engineer to join my client’s high-performance engineering team in Athens, working at the cutting edge of RFIC development. You will play a key role in understanding, measuring, and optimising the performance of complex RFICs, collaborating closely with design and system teams to drive product excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and analyse RF IC characterisation and validation activities on advanced silicon devicesInvestigate and resolve performance issues at block and system level, performing detailed fault analysis and root-cause identificationCollaborate with design, layout, and system engineers to enhance IC performance and feedback design improvementsDevelop, maintain, and automate RF and mixed-signal test setups for device evaluation and production readinessConduct comprehensive data analysis to assess IC behaviour and performance metrics across process and temperature variationsDocument findings, prepare technical characterisation reports, and present recommendations to cross-functional teamsExperience in some of the following areas would be advantageous:Experience in IC characterisation, validation, and debug within the silicon or semiconductor industryAn understanding of RF front-end architectures, analog building blocks, and IC-level performance parametersProficiency in measurement equipment such as Vector Network Analysers (VNA), Spectrum Analysers, Signal Generators, and Power MetersFamiliarity with lab automation and data analysis tools (e.g. Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex findings clearlyThis position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of RFIC performance evaluation, playing a pivotal role in improving next-generation silicon technologies within a world-class engineering environment.
