About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and driven Section Head to lead our Mainframe System Services team. In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the availability, performance, and continuous improvement of our core banking mainframe systems. You will oversee technical support, system operations, budget management, and staff development to maintain 24x7 system uptime aligned with Group IT transformation initiatives and regulatory compliance.
What You Will Be DoingLead the Mainframe System Services team in managing core banking system hardware and software to ensure 24x7x365 availabilityForecast capacity growth and manage annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets to support technology refresh and cost optimizationCollaborate with senior management to set objectives and KPIs for team performance and service delivery improvementOversee installation, configuration, tuning, monitoring, and support of mainframe systems and related third-party products (e. g.
, ZEKE, ZARA, LCM, Mobius)Manage disaster recovery planning, testing, and compliance to meet defined recovery time and point objectivesLead change management, incident response, and IT Service Management practices to maintain system stability and customer satisfactionEnsure adherence to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality control processesSupervise projects related to mainframe systems and facilitate migration efforts in line with Group IT obsolescence policiesDrive vendor management, audit compliance, and precise documentation of system architecture and inventoryPromote continuous learning and adoption of new technologies within the teamWhat We're Looking ForMinimum Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalentAt least 7 years’ experience supporting and operating group IT infrastructure with advanced expertise in IBM System z architecture and z/OS environmentStrong knowledge of Host LPAR design, high availability, mainframe products (CICS, VTAM, NETWORK, ZEKE, MOBIUS, etc.
