About the opportunityWe seek a Solar Technical Salesperson to support the Solar Manager in driving the growth of our residential and commercial solar business. This role is key to the success of Rheemâs NZ Solar division, contributing to the development and maintenance of profitable Retail, Wholesale, and Commercial sales channels. The successful candidate will provide specialist PV electrical support, assist with system designs, conduct site inspections, troubleshoot installer issues, and manage warranty work as required. About the roleSupporting the Solar Manager, and as a key contributor to the solar team, you will:
Conduct in-home appointments independently and in a coaching capacity to ensure adherence to Rheem NZ sales standardsSupport internal administrative teams with foundational solar product knowledgeMaintain accurate records of all sales appointments and quotations within the designated CRM systemCollaborate with the commercial sales team to identify and leverage PV opportunitiesProactively address product or installation concerns to minimise customer dissatisfaction and payment delaysConduct pre-installation site inspections where requiredBuild and maintain strong contractor relationships, delivering training and support during product launches, onboarding, and technical troubleshootingUphold the integrity of the Rheem brand and ensure alignment with our core values across all customer and contractor interactionsAbout youWith at least 3 years of experience in a frontline sales, advisory, or product development roleâwithin the Solar PV industryâyou bring both technical know-how and a strong customer focus.
Youâve worked hands-on across a range of solar installations and are confident advising on both commercial and residential projects. Youâre a clear and effective communicator, able to navigate both technical and commercial conversations with ease. Your ability to work collaboratively is matched by your confidence to operate independently when needed. Your computer literacy is strong, particularly across the MS Office Suite, and any experience with SAP will be highly regarded. You take a systematic and logical approach to solving problems, identifying opportunities for improvement along the way.
