Job Description

A telecommunications rigger installs, maintains, and repairs telecommunications equipment, such as antennas, cables, and radios, on towers, rooftops, and other structures. This physically demanding job involves working at significant heights, handling specialized tools, following strict safety protocols, and ensuring reliable network connectivity for various communication services. Riggers must possess strong manual dexterity, good physical fitness, and a comprehensive understanding of rigging procedures and safety standards.Detailed Job Responsibilities Installation and Mounting: Install and secure telecommunications equipment, including routers, antennas, radios, and cables on various structures. Site outages: Identify the cause, Troubleshoot, restoration of site and verify the line of signal link. Replacement: Replace the faulty and damaged cables and equipment. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct ongoing maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment functions optimally and the network remains reliable. Cable Management: Terminate and test telecommunications cables to verify they meet compliance standards. Equipment Handling: Utilise appropriate methods to lifting equipment to safely move and position heavy components. Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, conduct routine gear inspections, and ensure a safe working environment at heights. Collaboration: Work with engineers and technicians to plan and execute network infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and installations.Required Skills And Qualifications Physical Fitness and Manual Dexterity: The job is physically demanding, requiring a high level of stamina, comfort with working at heights, and excellent manual dexterity for delicate connections. Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of telecommunications equipment, installation techniques, and cable termination is essential. Safety Certifications: Organization will provide training & certificate for Jio Basic Training at Height Teamwork and Communication: Communication and teamwork skills are valuable for collaborating with other professionals on a project. Valid Driver's License & 2-Wheeler: Require a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to access work sites. Education: Intermediate and above.
