Analyzes the drawings from Engineering and verifies correct height dimensions and weight for shipment. Operates a crane and forklift when loading units onto trucks.Essential FunctionsReviews blueprintsCommunicates with Supervisors, Team Leads, Quality and EngineeringVerifies height dimensions of unitsResponsible for the rigging, wrapping, crating and movement of the units onto the trucks for shipmentMaintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements. Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.Perform other related duties as assigned.QualificationsHS Diploma or EquivalentMust have some rigging, crating, and wrapping experienceMust have experience loading large equipment/machinery onto trucksWoodworking experience (building crates or skids)Experience operating a ForkliftExperience operating a CraneStrong measuring skills and ability to determine correct height dimensionsMaterial Handling experience a plusExperience with basic hand tools, drills, measuring tape, nail gunExperience with table sawsValid MA or NH Driver’s LicenseKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to handle multiple tasks at one time.Ability to climb in overhead structures; work beneath machines and in close quarters to perform necessary work.
