At Albany Beck, you’ll be choosing to work with an organisation that’s passionate about your learning journey and committed to your professional career and personal development.Albany Beck is scaling out their Risk practice and are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Associate to support a leading financial services institution in strengthening its AML and financial crime framework.This role sits firmly in the first line of defence, working in partnership with the business to design and embed practical, scalable financial crime controls.What You’ll Be DoingActing as a first line financial crime advisor, working closely with compliance and second line stakeholders.Translating regulatory expectations into practical business processes, templates and procedures.Designing and building elements of the financial crime framework, including operational guidance, documentation standards and engagement models.Providing credible challenge and representing the first line in discussions with second line/compliance.Helping to develop a first line advisory model that drives clarity, usability and regulatory alignment across AML and financial crime operations.Getting hands-on with drafting, documenting and implementing solutions – not just advising conceptually.What We’re Looking ForStrong understanding of AML/financial crime regulation, with the ability to interpret and apply it in a business-facing context.Experience in a first line advisory, risk or financial crime design role, or a compliance professional who is keen to move closer to the business and into a more operational, solution-focused environment.Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, including compliance and oversight teams, and able to negotiate pragmatic outcomes.Someone who can bridge the gap between regulatory theory and business practicality – credible with both operational teams and compliance functions.A proactive mindset – willing to roll up sleeves and build framework components from scratch.
