Job Description

The Risk Management Specialist supports the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV)’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and processes. The role ensures consistent application of risk management principles across Corporate Service Units (CSUs), Strategic Business Units (SBUs), and affiliates by coordinating risk assessments, consolidating reports, and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Register. It contributes to the preparation of risk reports, awareness programs, and process improvement initiatives that strengthen risk governance, culture, and operational efficiency. The position functions within AEV’s enterprise-wide risk governance structure, working closely with the Risk Management Manager - ERM and other assurance teams to promote a proactive, data-driven, and risk-aware organization.What You'll Do:ERM Governance SupportAssist the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the ERM framework, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and corporate requirements.Support the regular review and update of ERM frameworks to reflect emerging risks, industry trends, new regulations, audit recommendations, organizational changes, lessons learned, and evolving business strategies.Coordinate with CSUs and/or SBUs to gather, validate, and consolidate risk data ensuring consistent adoption of ERM practices.Conduct research and benchmarking on risk governance trends, best practices and other risk management requirements to support framework improvement.ERM Implementation SupportSupport the implementation of the ERM process across AEV, ensuring alignment with the approved ERM framework, policies, and methodologies.Coordinate and monitor regular updating of Risk Management Plans (RMP) of CSUs and other affiliates as necessary to ensure relevance and timely submission.Consolidate and analyze risk information for inclusion in AEV and Groupwide top risk reports. Assist in coordinating risk reports of SBUs including other affiliates as necessary to ensure timely submission and review.Update and maintain the Enterprise Risk Register, ensuring risks are accurately documented for completeness and relevance.Provide administrative and logistical support for ERM-related meetings, workshops, committees sessions and risk events ensuring timely documentation and follow-through on agreed actions.Risk Reporting AssistanceAssist in the preparation, consolidation, and submission of ERM reports covering top risks, focused risks, emerging risks, and industry trends to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting to CSU Heads, the Board Risk and Reputation Management Committee (BRRMC), and other governance bodies.Maintain and enhance risk reporting tools to provide clear visibility of AEV’s and its portfolio companies’ risk profiles.Assist in tracking and monitoring action items and recommendations from BRRMC, SteerCom, audit findings, and management reviews, ensuring timely follow-up and proper documentation.Maintain the central repository of ERM reports, presentations, and governance materials, ensuring version control, traceability, and compliance with internal documentation standards.Develop and prepare risk communication materials and summaries to support management meetings, governance sessions, and risk awareness activities.Risk Culture BuildingSupport the implementation of risk awareness programs, campaigns, and communication initiatives to promote understanding and consistent application of ERM principles across AEV.Assist in organizing learning sessions, workshops, and capability-building activities on risk management to enhance employee engagement and ownership.Develop and prepare communication materials and learning content to raise awareness of risk policies, responsibilities, and best practices.Gather feedback and monitor participation from ERM learning sessions to assess effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.Process Improvement Support process improvement and simplification initiatives to enhance efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and timeliness of ERM activities by coordinating with CSUs to validate enhancements and implementing solutions that reduce complexity, eliminate redundancies, and improve the accuracy and accessibility of risk information across the organization.Support the implementation of innovative solutions and automation tools to streamline workflows, reporting, and communication processes.What We're Looking ForEducational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fieldsRelevant Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, compliance, or strategy-related rolesLicenses / Certifications: Fundamentals of Risk Management certification is an advantage but not required.Business Understanding: Experience in risk management frameworks including implementation of risk management process.
