Risk Manager

Responsibilities Data Analysis and ReportingExtract, clean, and analyze large datasets to support risk assessments and reporting requirementsMaintain or enhance data visualizations and dashboards to communicate key risk metrics and trends to the local and Head Office ManagementSupport the development of documentation for data sources, data dictionaries and data lineageProcess Automation and StreamliningIdentify opportunities to automate and streamline existing risk reporting and data processing workflowsDevelop and implement automated solutions using VBA, RPA, Gen AI or other scripting languages to improve efficiency and accuracyAssist in the development and maintenance of automated data quality checksRisk Reporting/ ProjectsAssist in the preparation of risk reports and presentations for senior management and ALCOParticipate in Group/Local risk projects or enhancement of stress testing and/or risk modellingStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Assist in the maintenance and update of SOPs related to data processing and reporting for risk management. Ensure these are in line with industry best practices, regulatory standards, and internal policiesOthersAssist in the preparation and validation of risk reports and risk indicators to monitor and assess risks related to market risk, liquidity risk, and interest rate riskRequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Risk Management or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in data analysis or a related role; and minimum 3 years of experience in risk management role, preferably within the financial services industryProficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL, or R. Working knowledge of VBA for process automation and data manipulationExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Familiarity with financial instruments and risk management concepts is a plusAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative risk solutionsGood verbal and written communication skills for presenting risk assessments to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
