About the CompanyOur real estate focused AIFM client is at an exciting stage, having obtained an AIFM license recently. Our client has an English speaking environment, a professional approach, and though it's well-established elsewhere, it is in an exciting “start up” phase in Luxembourg. About the RoleWe are looking for a risk officer to join them in a broad and general risk role, incorporating risk assessment and risk mitigations for financial risk, compliance risk and operational risk. You will undertake a broad range of responsibilities for the AIFM, assisting the Conducting Officer Risk in daily operations. The role is aimed at someone with around 1 - 3 years' experience in a Luxembourg AIFM, or a more experienced candidate on a part time basis.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Conducting Officer Risk in daily operations.Incorporate risk assessment and risk mitigations.Manage financial risk, compliance risk, and operational risk.QualificationsSpeak and write fluently in English, being confident in discussions with international colleagues.Have excellent Luxembourg regulatory knowledge affecting AIFMs.Have between 1 and up to 3 years’ experience in risk in an AIFM.If you have more extensive experience, you will be looking to work 2 or 3 days a week.Required SkillsFluency in English.Knowledge of Luxembourg regulations gained in a similar role in Luxembourg.Experience in risk management within an AIFM.Preferred SkillsA degree or Masters in risk, or other relevant risk focused trainingPay range and compensation packageTo be discussed and subject to experience.Note our client cannot consider applicants without a current valid right to work in Luxembourg.
