We are always looking for exceptional talent to join us on the journey!Your MissionWe are looking for a Risk Officer to join our fast-growing Nuvei Liquidity team. You will play a key role in supporting the company's second line of defence and ensuring a sound and effective risk management framework.As we are in the process of obtaining our Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license under MiCA, you will be instrumental in helping the company align with regulatory risk expectations, strengthen internal controls, and embed risk awareness into everyday business activities.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinating and overseeing the Company's overall risk management process, ensuring an integrated approach across all business unitsIdentifying, analyzing, and controlling key risks that may impact the Company's operations and strategic objectives, including monitoring risk trends and ensuring business units maintain proper risk oversightConsolidating risk information from all structural units, highlighting significant risks and control deficiencies, and escalating material issues to the BoardImplementing and maintaining frameworks and procedures to effectively identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risksAdvising the Board on the Company's risk appetite, setting risk limits, and reviewing the adequacy of the existing risk management strategyCommunicating risk levels and exposures to relevant staff, supporting a risk-aware culture within the organizationPreparing quarterly risk maps and comprehensive annual risk reports tailored to the Company's operational and regulatory environmentOverseeing outsourcing arrangements to ensure service providers meet contractual obligations, including performance metrics and reporting duties, and managing relatedRequirementsAt least 3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit within fintech, crypto, payments, or another regulated financial services sectorHands-on experience in developing and maintaining risk registers, performing risk assessments, and designing internal controls for operational, compliance, and vendor risksAbility to communicate risk findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management and regulatorsProven ability to identify and assess emerging risks, connect data points, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for managementSolid understanding of EU/EEA regulatory frameworks applicable to crypto and fintech companies, such as MiCA, AMLD5/6, DORA, and PSD2Relevant professional certifications such as FRM, CAMS-RM or ICA are considered a strong assetBenefitsMonthly LIDL or WOLT food allowance;Hybrid working model;Private health insurance;One-month workcation;Cool and modern penthouse office in Vilnius city;Annual bonus depending on company and individual results;Space for personal and professional growth, training, giving back to community activities;Office perks, a great atmosphere, company events and a lot more to exploreNuvei is an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates collaboration and innovation and is committed to developing a diverse and inclusive workplace.
