If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is currently looking for a Risk Specialist to join our Risk Management team based in Copenhagen. TeamAs Risk Specialist in CIP, you will become part of the 2nd line Risk Management function. This team is responsible for the continuous oversight and monitoring of risk exposures and control effectiveness, development and maintenance of policies and frameworks, risk assessments and analyses, and risk reporting to management and the board of directors. CIP Risk Management also advises and supports the CIP business functions and provides training and awareness programs to support a strong risk culture.CIP Risk Management is a small, specialised team with a broad and dynamic mandate. The team covers all aspects of risk across CIP’s operations – from the alternative investment fund manager to individual development projects – ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to risk oversight. The team works closely with stakeholders across the organisation, including investment, legal, compliance, finance, and operations, to identify emerging risks, strengthen internal controls, ensure investment readiness, and promote sound risk-based decision-making.Our work spans strategic, operational, financial, regulatory, and ESG-related risks, and we continuously evolve our practices to reflect the changing risk landscape and regulatory expectations.RoleAs Risk Specialist, you will contribute to shaping CIP’s risk management frameworks and methodologies, engage in deep-dive risk analyses, and help drive initiatives that enhance resilience and accountability across the business. You will ensure the completeness and quality of the risk profiles for CIP’s funds in close collaboration with all relevant parts of the CIP business line.We value collaboration, curiosity, and integrity, and we offer a supportive environment where you can grow professionally while making a tangible impact on the organisation’s risk posture.Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to: Lead and execute risk assessments across CIP-managed funds, platforms and investments.Preparation and improvement of the quarterly risk reports for management and the board of directors.Data identification, quality assurance and analysis to improve the objective risk oversight.Further develop CIPs scenario analysis and stress testing capabilities.Maintain and improve the risk management framework, ensuring compliance with AIFM regulations and internal governance standards.Support policy implementation, training and awareness programs to embed a strong risk culture across CIP.You We are looking for a motivated individual holding a relevant master’s degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within a financial institution, an alternative fund manager, consultancy firm or within the renewable energy sector.You bring solid financial acumen and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights. Your analytical capabilities support effective risk quantification, data quality assurance, and aggregation. Ideally, you have experience working with complex data environments and demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, enabling you to extract meaningful patterns and support informed decision-making.You have a curious mind and want to understand the CIP business in detail. You have an eye for improvements and optimisations and are not afraid to speak up.We look for the following in a candidate:Ability to communicate complex risk topics clearly to diverse stakeholders, including senior management, board of directors and external auditors.Understanding of alternative investment fund regulations and risk governance models (e.g. three-line of defence).Experience and interest with complex data landscapes and strong data analysis skills.Ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to extract relevant information and improve risk awareness.Self-starter with a structured and disciplined approach to your work, the ability to connect the dots independently, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
