Job Title: Road Design Engineer (Civil 3D Specialist)Location: Lagos / Project SitesEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Road Design Engineer with strong expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D, particularly in road design, geometric alignment, and earthwork modelling. The ideal candidate must have experience in road construction projects, design office work, or infrastructure engineering. A background in Surveying Engineering will be an added advantage.Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed road design drawings using Civil 3D, including horizontal/vertical alignment, corridors, cross-sections, and profiles. Develop engineering designs for highways, access roads, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure. Produce earthwork calculations, volume reports, and grading plans using Civil 3D tools. Interpret survey data (topographic survey, as-built data) and integrate survey points into design models. Collaborate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate and feasible designs. Prepare BOQs, technical reports, and design documentation for internal and client review. Review and update existing road designs based on site conditions and construction feedback. Assist in resolving technical issues during construction phases. Ensure all designs comply with national and international engineering standards and best practices.Requirements BSc/HND in Civil Engineering, Surveying Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3–7 years' experience in road design. Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (mandatory). Experience with design office work, geometric design, and road construction is required. Solid understanding of surveying principles and ability to work with survey datasets (advantage). Knowledge of design standards (e.g., FG, AASHTO, BS, or equivalent). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
