Robotics Hardware & Field Engineer

Zurich, Switzerland | on-site | starting between October 2025 – January 2026We are looking for a hands-on Robotics Hardware and Field Engineer to join our team and bridge the gap between hardware development and real-world robot deployment. We’re a young and dynamic team, and your role will be broad and impactful – from assembling and testing new hardware prototypes to deploying systems at customer sites and gathering critical feedback.You’ll work side by side with the founding team to shape our technology, company, and culture. If you’re looking for variety, ownership, and a team where your work makes a difference, this is for you!As an ideal candidate, you will be highly motivated, eager to work on a challenging deep-tech topic with real-world impact, capable of working autonomously and in small teams, and have a strong desire to build and deploy robust robotic hardware.ResponsibilitiesAssemble, integrate, and test complex robotic prototypes and products.Contribute to the mechanical and electrical design process based on hands-on experience.Travel to customer sites within Switzerland and internationally for deployments, training, and support.Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic systems in challenging field environments.Act as the technical point of contact for customers on-site, building trusted relationships.Communicate field insights and technical feedback to the core engineering team to drive product improvements.Requirements & QualificationsStrong motivation and goal-oriented working attitude.Comfortable working independently and in small teams, and willing to take responsibility.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.Hands-on experience building, testing, or debugging complex hardware systems.Excellent problem-solving skills and a pragmatic mindset.Willingness to travel regularly for deployments.Fluent English speaker; German is a strong plus.Great to haveExperience in a field service, application engineering, or customer-facing technical role.Hands-on experience with CAD, soldering, or sensor integration.Familiarity with robotic systems, software (Python, ROS, Linux), and system-level troubleshooting.What we offerDirect collaboration with the founders and the chance to actively shape our product and company.Opportunity to grow into a core role in an early-stage robotics startup.Competitive compensation package.Exposure to real-world deployments and pilot customers.A team culture focused on technical excellence, openness, and shared ownership.Regular joint team activities including team dinners and surprise events.How to applyPlease apply through our online application form and have your cover letter, CV, transcript and/or reference at hand.
