Location: Compton, CA, 90220Country: United StatesSalary: $110K - $150KDescription:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rough Carpentry Project Manager with extensive expertise in commercial and residential multi-unit construction projects. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of rough carpentry methods, materials, cost structures, and the ability to combine technical knowledge with strong project management leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementLead and oversee multiple commercial rough carpentry projects simultaneously.Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, budgets, manpower allocations, blueprint revisions, change order pricing, and quality benchmarks.Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating activities across internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.Conduct regular site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, ensure production efficiency, and maintain profitability.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.Communicate proactively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues.Budgeting and Cost ControlTrack and manage all project financials, including budgets, expenses, and forecasts.Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Assess potential risks and jobsite conditions early to mitigate negative financial impact.Review and approve invoices, contracts, and change orders for accuracy and compliance.Team LeadershipProvide clear direction and leadership to project teams, subcontractors, and field staff.Foster a collaborative, safe, and productive work environment.Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.Department management experience is considered a strong plus.Quality AssuranceImplement quality control processes to maintain exceptional standards of workmanship.Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or minimum 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree).Minimum 10 years of proven project management experience in commercial, residential, and multi-unit rough carpentry.Strong expertise in wood framing and rough carpentry techniques.Field experience is highly valued.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively.Proficiency in construction estimating and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to negotiate and build lasting client relationships.BenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) Heads up!We’re on the hunt for top talent on behalf of our awesome client!
