We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Irrigation Technician to join our Fitzroy Macadamias team. In this hands-on and technical role, you'll support the design, implementation, and maintenance of irrigation and automation systems to ensure the efficient delivery of water across a growing macadamia orchard. Collaborate with development and operational teams on irrigation design, installation, and automation projectsMaintain irrigation infrastructure including pumps, filtration systems, motors, and delivery networksAssist in the supervision, training, and development of irrigation staff and contractorsConduct system reviews, ensure quality assurance, and maintain accurate recordsSupport the implementation of irrigation programs that enhance tree health, yield, and efficiencyContribute to continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and environmental outcomesRequirementsTo be successful for this position, you will have:
A current driver's licenceRelevant vocational or tertiary qualifications in irrigation or related fields (CAD qualifications highly regarded)Proven experience with irrigation systems, automation, surveying, and designStrong technical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detailAdvanced computer literacy and experience using CAD software preferredTeam-oriented, ethical, and proactive with strong interpersonal and communication skillsBenefitsOn offer for the successful candidate is:
