ContractJob SummaryAs an Additive Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of additive manufacturing Machines. ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup and OperationMaintenance and TroubleshootingQuality ControlDocumentation and ReportingPrepare additive manufacturing machines for operation by loading materials, configuring parameters, and calibrating settings. Monitor the printing process to ensure parts are being produced according to specifications and quality standards. Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize build quality and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance tasks on additive manufacturing equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during operation, such as nozzle clogs, print failures, or software glitches, and implement solutions to minimize downtime. Inspect finished parts to verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and structural integrity. Identify and address any defects or deviations from specifications, either through manual post-processing techniques or by adjusting machine parameters. Maintain detailed records of machine settings, process parameters, and production activities. Generate reports on job progress, including production output, quality metrics, and any issues encountered during manufacturing. QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related Degree. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience operating additive manufacturing equipment preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of CAD software for design adjustments is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
