CHEF DECLARANT On behalf of our client, a key player in customs and freight logistics, we are recruiting a Chef Declarant Expert to lead customs declaration operations in maritime, air, and hinterland logistics, with strong expertise in the CEMAC region. Key ResponsibilitiesCustoms Operations Management: Prepare, submit, and monitor customs declarations to ensure compliance with deadlines and regulations. Supervise import/export processes across ports, airports, and hinterland corridors. Handle complex files related to special customs regimes (e. g. , exemptions, transit, bonded warehouses). Team Supervision & Coordination: Lead a team of customs declarants and support their skills development.
Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, transporters, and other logistics partners. Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure continuous regulatory watch within the CEMAC region (Cameroon, Chad, Congo, CAR, etc. ). Guarantee full compliance with WCO guidelines, local customs laws, and subregional trade agreements. Process Optimization & Reporting: Identify opportunities to streamline customs clearance processes. Provide regular performance reports to the management. RequirementsEducation: Min Bachelor’s degree in Customs & Transit, International Logistics, Trade, or related field. Experience: Min 5 years in a similar role, with at least 2 years of direct exposure to the CEMAC customs environment.
Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of customs management software Deep understanding of subregional customs regulations. Excellent written and analytical reporting skills. Languages: French and English Work Locations: Douala & KribiWork location : Douala - Kribi
