Job Title: Financial ControllerLocation: Lilongwe, Malawi (Manufacturing Plant - 22 km from main city)Industry: Poultry Feedmill ManufacturingExperience Required: 10-15 years post-qualificationReporting To: Managing DirectorJob PurposeThe Financial Controller will lead and manage the full spectrum of financial operations for our poultry feed manufacturing plant based near Lilongwe, Malawi. The role is responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, budget management, and strategic financial planning to support business growth and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in similar manufacturing environmentspreferably in the poultry or animal feed sectorswith prior exposure to operations in India and African countries considered a significant advantage. Key ResponsibilitiesLead all financial and accounting operations at the manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to IFRS and local statutory requirements. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support operational efficiency and working capital optimization. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts. Monitor cost controls, production margins, and stock/inventory management, identifying areas for cost reduction and performance improvement.

Supervise payroll processing, tax compliance, and statutory audits in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Establish and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and procedures across the plant. Liaise with supply chain, procurement, production, and sales teams to align financial planning with business goals. Provide strategic financial insights and support to senior leadership for key decision-making. Manage and mentor a small finance and accounts team based at the plant. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental obligations in the context of manufacturing operations. Candidate RequirementsProfessional Qualification: CA / ACCA / CPA or M. Com equivalent is mandatory. Experience:

10-15 years post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing plant environmentpreferably in poultry or animal feedmill sectors. Prior experience in India and/or African countries will be a strong advantage. Strong understanding of product costing, inventory controls, and manufacturing workflows. Excellent leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a plant environment located outside the city (Lilongwe - 22 km away). Proficiency in ERP systems (e. g. , Tally, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. CompensationAn attractive package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the selected candidate.

Budget - US$ 3500 to 4500, house, transportation, visa, 2 years visa and one ticket after 2 years - family status after 6 months.
