As a Planner Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of an exciting infrastructure project in Dublin, based at an airport. Join our dynamic team and make a difference!The Planner Assistant will support the development, maintenance, and tracking of the master project schedule. Working closely with the Planning Manager and cross-functional project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate scheduling, monitoring progress, and identifying potential delays. The role holder will have experience in the construction industry, strong planning and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities include: Maintain and update the project schedule using Primavera P6 in alignment with the contracted scope and project deliverables. Prepare detailed look-ahead schedules to support construction planning and execution. Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect current status, identify deviations, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Work closely with site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to collect accurate planning data and drive schedule accountability. Collaborate with the wider project team to support decision-making and planning needs. Communicate key milestones, schedule updates, and critical path changes clearly to the team. Prepare and issue periodic planning reports, including progress updates and performance metrics. Additional duties associated with the role as determined by management. Essential criteria: Legal right to work in the Republic of IrelandWillingness to complete a 5-year background screening as part of the hiring processBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in planning or related occupation. Solid experience providing planning support on complex, multidisciplinary construction projects. Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM), critical path method (CPM), and schedule risk principles. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Demonstrated experience in a Planning Engineer / P6 Planner role or similar. Excellent analytical and planning capabilities with a high attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly, manage workload efficiently, and thrive in a dynamic project environmentAbility to work collaboratively within the planning team and engaging effectively with other project teams.

Strong focus on goals, priorities, and delivering high-quality outputs on time. Desirable criteria: A recognized qualification in project planning or project controls (e. g. , PMI-SP, AACE PSP) is a plus Knowledge of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001Being fully aware of and actively complying with Sacyr’s policies and procedures relevant to your own responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures including equality, sustainability and the environment, health and safety and data protection.
