Job Description

DescriptionPURPOSE: Primary responsible for assisting the HIPPY Director in administering and supervising the Sarasota HIPPY Program. Assist the Director in recruiting, hiring, training and supervising staff. Responsible for all compliance issues related to eligibility, audits, quality assurance and monitoring requirements related to program delivery and grant management. Key Responsibilities Assist in administering and supervising the HIPPY Program, including hiring, evaluating, and mentoring staff as appropriate. Assist with weekly staff meetings providing updates to staff on program changes and enhancements. Participate and assist with planning professional development activities. Assist in coordinating the Advisory Board meeting.

Assist in recruiting families; planning and guiding the group meetings, including lining up guest speakers/presenters. Conducts home visits as needed; maintains quality assurance by shadowing home visitorsParticipates in HIPPY sponsored community activities; collaborates with other agencies providing services to low-income families. Acts as liaison between the SCC and the Sarasota County community, schools and other agencies. Represents the HIPPY program at speaking opportunities, health fairs and other events. Assist in maintaining program documentation in compliance with the contractual requirements.

Assist in the budget development and attend fiscal/budget meetings, to assure that the program operates within the approved fiscal budget. Submit invoices, and reimbursement paperwork in a timely manner to the Director. Participates in Florida HIPPY T &TA USF State annual & regional conference and relevant workshops, including attendance at the HIPPY US Preservice; attends the National HIPPY Conference. Assist in planning graduations, special events and projects; organize special events and enhancement activities and attend events. Orders HIPPY curriculum supplies; instructs and distributes materials and supplies to home visitors weekly.

Responsible for daily REDCAP data system check for each Home Visitors, including the data quality check, home visit service records, curriculum check daily. Complete weekly reports: Individual client reports, progress reports, curriculum requests, assessment requests, from home visitorsAdminister pre and post child and parent assessments, surveys, and tests for evaluation and research activities. Any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values. RequirementsLIST OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be willing to use personal vehicle for agency business.

Must carry adequate vehicle insurance acceptable to insurance standards. Must be comfortable being out and engaging with the community and engaging with system partners. Education / ExperienceBachelor’s degree (or equivalent education, training, and experience) in early childhood, elementary, family, or adult education, social work, or a related field preferred. Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: education, program management, community mobilization, parent empowerment/family support, child/family advocacy or staff development. 3 years’ experience working with families in social service or educational programs preferred.
