Job Description

Propose of Position:Responsible for the review, approval, and enforcement of all safety procedures, training, and metrics reporting. All duties and responsibilities listed herein are under the direction of the HSS Manager. Developing and implementing best practice procedures, developing and reporting key performance indicators, and ensuring that all safety regulations are followed. Design and facilitate training programs. Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and business partners with the common goal of reducing workplace injuries and the associated expenses incurred as a result.Key Responsibilities:Advising and administrating of techniques for proper implementation of the over-all safety program in the Terminal.Reviewing and evaluating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with concern department to make sure of safe act, proper procedure encountering loss prevention and minimize hazard.Implementing of the SGP Safe Work Procedures (SWP) standard in operations with concerned department.Supervise and review accident and incident investigation to determine its causes and make sure of proper implementation of safety precautions and preventive measures.Evaluating accident and Incident statistics and recommended means of preventing losses.Reviewing and checking of HSS reports as they are prepared by senior officers and act accordingly.Representing HSS for any SGP and PSA Management Meeting.Check and review of technical details for all HSS required materials and equipment.Monitoring hazard identifications, unsafe condition, near miss incidents, etc. And coordinate with concerned departments .Review training, work plan, safety sessions and coordinate with HSS staff and another department .Conduct risk assessment for critical operation and give guidance accordingly.Conduct short awareness sessions and classroom sessions for promoting safe standards in terminal.Following up with HSS managements and practicalities whether they meet Hazard and Effects Management Process (HEMP) or not.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related fields.Minimum 7 yrs. experience or above in OHS. Minimum of 2 years' experience in supervision level.Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, OSHA 30, ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor, Maritime Safety Courses).Strong knowledge of local and international OHSE regulations.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Experience in incident investigation and risk management.Excellent English language proficiency (spoken and written).Analytics skills on OHS statistics.
