Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly qualified and proactive Safety Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, Egypt. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with proven experience working in multinational environments. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risk across operations. Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across site.Ensure compliance with Egyptian labor laws and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001, OSHA), and maintain all statutory registers and documentation required under Egyptian Laws for inspections by competent authorities.Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed safety into all operations. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or any related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety engineering role, preferably within a multinational organization.Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations.Excellent communication and reporting skills in English and Arabic.Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are a strong advantage.Please send your updated CV to ahmed.mahfouz@birlacarbon.com, Subject line: Safety Engineer
