We’re partnering with a leading organization in Belgium’s railway infrastructure sector to strengthen their Signalling Safety team. This company plays a vital role in developing one of Europe’s safest and most reliable railway networks — a key driver of sustainable mobility and economic growth.As part of the team, you’ll contribute to the design and implementation of advanced railway signalling systems, including ETCS (European Train Control System) and Interlocking technologies.🔧 Your RoleSupport Signalling Project design teams on all safety-related aspects.Conduct safety analyses (FMECA, FTA, HAZOP, PHI/PHA) in line with CENELEC EN50126/50128/50129 standards.Prepare and maintain Safety Plans and Safety Cases for new or modified systems.Collaborate closely with internal teams (design, testing, project management, end-users) and external independent assessors.Provide feedback and suggest process improvements across projects.🧠 Your ProfileSolid experience as a Safety Engineer or Safety Manager in a railway signalling environment.Passion for technology and strong analytical mindset.Fluent in Dutch and English (technical writing skills required).Proficient with MS Office tools.Strong command of IEC61508, EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 standards.Skilled in RAM, FMECA, FTA, PHA, SHA, and IHA methodologies.Able to structure complex information clearly and work independently toward deadlines.Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to communicate positively about safety.💡 Why JoinYou’ll work on high-impact projects that directly improve the safety, reliability, and interoperability of Belgium’s railway network — in a collaborative environment that values expertise and initiative.
