Job Description

A. Safety ManagementAssist the Safety & Health Officer in developing and implementing the project’s Safety and Health Plan.Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.Ensure all site activities comply with company and statutory safety requirements.Conduct toolbox meetings and promote safety awareness among workers and subcontractors.Ensure all workers wear proper PPE and follow site safety rules.Investigate incidents, near misses, and prepare accident/incident reports.Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems and other safety documentation.Ensure all safety signages, barricades, and warning systems are properly displayed and maintained.Liaise with authorities such as DOSH, CIDB, and local councils when required.B. Training and CommunicationOrganize and record safety induction for new workers.Assist in safety training and emergency drills (fire, evacuation, first aid, etc.).Communicate effectively with subcontractors regarding safety requirements and expectations.Maintain updated safety records, checklists, and documentation for audit purposes.C. Health & Environmental ControlMonitor hygiene and housekeeping within the site, workers’ quarters, and facilities.Ensure proper waste management, dust, and noise control.Support implementation of environmental and health improvement initiatives.3. Requirements:Qualification: At least SPM or equivalent; Certificate in Safety & Health Supervisor (recognized by DOSH Malaysia).Registration: Must be a Yellow Book Holder registered with DOSH Malaysia.Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience in construction safety supervision.Knowledge: OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, CIDB Act, Environmental regulations.Skills: Good communication, observation, and reporting skills. Able to work independently at site.Language: Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin (an advantage).4. Working Conditions:Based at construction site.6 working days per week (Monday–Saturday).Must be available for emergency response or safety inspection as required.
