Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job DescriptionParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Safety Specialist to join our team!What You'll Be DoingAssists the project or program manager with administering the SH&E programs.Ensure project sites and activities are compliant with OSHA and Parsons Safety standards.Inspects worksites to detect hazard; provides expertise to project personnel to eliminate/control the SH&E risks associated with exposure to the hazards.Creates and submits written audit and inspection reports.Monitors project or program work planning and performance; verifies planning and work performance conforms to Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system.Implements Parsons’ occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.Performs trends analyses on audit findings, inspection findings, and incident reports; creates and submits regular analysis reports.Assists the project or program manager with new hire orientation.Performs regulatory and best practice SH&E training.Creates and maintains SH&E training records.Participates in routine safe work briefings.What Required Skills You'll BringBachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and SafetyWorking knowledge of federal and state SH&E regulations and reporting procedures.Working knowledge of safety-related national consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsSecurity Clearance RequirementNoneThis position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
