In partnership with HEART/NSTA TRUST, Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking candidates for the School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) specially designed to bridge the gap between school and the world of work for recent school leavers. Our School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) is for school leavers between the ages of 17 to 23, who have six or more CXC or GCE passes including English Language and Mathematics.
In the SLTOP, trainees have the opportunity to work with Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited for up to one year, where they can fully acquaint themselves with the company’s daily operations in order to gain rich, immersive practical knowledge. Location: Kingston As HEART Trainee - Business Development and Policy Services, you will: Assist with the preparation of reimbursements to doctors/clients for medical services/fees related to the application process. Assist with preparing and dispatching letters and/or cheques for “Not Proceeded With” cases within the stipulated guidelines.
Process of write back cheques for reopening or transfer to policies within the agreed standards as requested. Prepare weekly and monthly reports within established guidelines. Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time. What do you need? A minimum of six (6) subjects at the CXC (General Proficiency) or GCE (Ordinary) level, including English Language and Mathematics. Basic knowledge of life insurance operations. Effective communication (oral and written) skills. Good time management and human relations skills. Ability to type. Ability to work under pressure. Working knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
