Ensure that the team follows Agile principles and the scrum framework. Work closely with the oversight committee (Agile Delivery Team) and Product Owner to deliver the agreed objectives assigned to the labs.

Act as an enabler to organizational growth by developing and assisting in building the required synergies. Apply Agile methodologies and principles to execute the functions and responsibilities of the Agile Team. Location: Kingston As a Scrum Master, You Will Identify and lead resolution of obstacles and impediments to Agile team output, productivity, and engagement. Escalate impediments that are outside her/his ability to address to the Agile team that provides oversight of the Agile Labs. Reinforce the principles of Agile and Scrum through on-going training of the Agile team. Tutor the Agile team in Scrum and Agile Principles.

Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization. Act as liaison between Agile team and senior leadership of the organization. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up and Sprint Retrospective. Contribute to best practices and thought leadership to help advance the broader programme effort. Create a trusting and collaborative environment conducive to high performance. Ensure. that the goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Agile team.

Ensure that the relevant inputs such as Vision, Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog items are well defined and related artifacts are maintained. Collaborate with the Product Owner to structure delivery of the Product Backlog to maximize value. Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the Product Backlog and its derivatives are in the Sprint Backlog. Ensure that Agile team members adhere to agreed working agreements and cadence and escalate to Functional Managers and the Agile Delivery Team as needed. Manage projects in the tracking and collaboration platforms (e. g. , Jira, MS GitHub, Teams etc.

); providing software training in the use of such systems to team members as needed. Manage sprints and sprint schedule for optimal performance and in adherence to time box. Communicate project risks and issues to key stakeholders. Prepare reports that demonstrate the work completed by the Agile team. Perform other related duties, commensurate with job knowledge and skills, assigned from time to time. What do you need? Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent qualifications from an accredited tertiary institution. Formal training in Scrum. Minimum three (3) years’ working experience preferably within a financial institution.

Experience working in agile frameworks and digital transformation initiatives is preferred. Good knowledge of techniques for prioritization and estimation of the sprint backlog. Effective monitoring and execution of multiple high priority issues simultaneously. Identify obstacles and clear/escalate as needed to facilitate team productivity. Strong communication and presentation skills. Competence in facilitation, coaching, active listening, problem solving & change management. Effective time management and leadership skills. Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
