In this role, you will focus on building strong and lasting relationships with customers and suppliers, delivering value through tailored solutions, and helping to expand Hoogwegt’s footprint in key markets.While this role involves elements of commodity trading, the emphasis is on account management, customer development, and commercial execution—making it ideal for someone with a strong sales mindset and a passion for international business.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Development & Sales ExecutionDevelop and grow a customer and supplier portfolio across designated countries in Asia.Actively manage and grow existing accounts while identifying and converting new business opportunities.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to deliver commercially sound and profitable deals.Build a deep understanding of customer needs to provide solutions that create mutual value.Market Intelligence & Strategic InputMonitor regional and global market trends, supply-demand developments, and pricing dynamics.Translate market intelligence into actionable insights to support sales decisions and customer conversations.Contribute to team strategies to enhance Hoogwegt’s regional positioning and performance.Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.Collaborate with colleagues across Hoogwegt’s international offices to share insights and coordinate deals.Represent Hoogwegt Singapore at client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.Operational & Internal CollaborationCoordinate with operations, logistics, finance, and risk teams to ensure smooth execution of deals.Ensure accurate and timely follow-up on contracts, documentation, and reporting.Uphold internal compliance, credit, and risk management policies.Key RequirementsExperience & KnowledgeBachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Food Science, or a related field.2–7 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or commodity trading—preferably in dairy, food ingredients, or agri-commodities.Strong commercial track record and customer-facing experience in international markets.Familiarity with physical trade operations and international logistics is a plus.Experience with risk management tools (e.g., futures, hedging) is a bonus, but not required.Skills & AttributesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.Commercially savvy, with good negotiation and problem-solving abilities.Entrepreneurial drive, structured working style, and a sense of ownership.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.Fluency in English; proficiency in other Asian languages is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce is an advantage.Why Join Hoogwegt Singapore?Work for the world’s largest independent dairy trading company with global impact.Take ownership of a diverse client portfolio in one of the most exciting and fast-growing regions.Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial team where your ideas and contributions are valued.Receive a competitive compensation package, performance incentives, and support for personal development.
