Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the heavy construction and automotive sectors.Conduct product presentations, equipment demonstrations, and site visits to potential clients.Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, fleet managers, government agencies, and equipment leasing firms.Prepare and submit sales quotations, tender documents, and follow up on approvals.Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company policies and profitability goals.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.Liaise with service, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely delivery and after-sales support.Prepare regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and market intelligence updates.Train and mentor junior sales staff to enhance team performance and customer service delivery.Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and client meetings to promote brand visibility.Qualifications and Experience:Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in heavy construction equipment, trucks, or automotive industry.Strong technical understanding of construction machinery (e.g., excavators, loaders, graders, trucks, etc.).Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.Valid Kenyan driving license and willingness to travel frequently within the country.
