DescriptionAbout the job Sales Co(External Applications Only)Grow sales through constant Customer interaction; costing of building plans and issuing Customers with accurate quotations. Ensuring that all housekeeping and merchandising standards are maintained at all times. Ensuring a cost effective and efficient delivery service.RequirementsGrade 12 plus 5 (five) years related experience or a minimum of 10 (ten) years’ work related experiencePlan reading experience would be advantageousAbility to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available.Above average numeric skillsProven ability to provide exceptional Customer ServiceProven ability to work under pressureMust be computer literateProven strong organising, planning and delegation skillsKey Performance Area:SalesIssuing and follow up of quotations in order to generate salesQuote process and control Special OrdersReading of building plans and ensuring quotations are correct and within the agreed timeframeManage the telephone, answer, and return calls, ensure follow ups are doneConduct competitor analysis to ensure competitiveness of the storeCommunicate bulk deposit transfers to CustomersPromote loyalty programs (VIC and Charge Card Customers)DeliveriesManage an efficient delivery service and ensuring that the correct rates are chargedDeliveries dispatched within the required time limitDelayed deliveries communicated with Customer and appropriate arrangements made and agreed to with the CustomerCustomer ServiceEffective Customer Service Desk ManagementRecord, follow up and resolve Customer ComplaintsTo ensure an efficient Customer Service at all times (all Customers are attended to)Telephone etiquette (to ensure that all calls are answered within the required time)Store StandardsEffective management of the Ready for Business Checklists and processes with regards to area of responsibility and those of the General Assistant, Sales Advisors and Forklift Drivers.Price changes to be implemented in line with advertised prices.Implementation of planogramsPeople ManagementEnsure that all General Assistants, Sales Advisors and Forklift Drivers are present and available in their area of responsibility in order to assist Customers and perform all their responsibilitiesEnsure General Assistants, Sales Advisors and Forklift Drivers have a trained backup available.Ensure General Assistants, Sales Advisors and forklift Drivers execute their daily duties (Ready for Business and Beyond my Control)Safety (OHSA) RequirementsEnsure that safety standards are adhered toEnsure Employees under control of Sales Coordinator wear correct protective clothing and safe use of equipment.Security AwarenessBe aware of any suspicious people and / or activities in and outside the Store.Password securityValuesIntegrityComplying with generally accepted standards in activities related to the position.keeps promises.creates realistic expectations.is sincere.handles sensitive information carefully.shows awareness of values, indicates when boundaries are crossed.Accuracy Effectively handling detailed information and being consistently attentive to details.Works in an orderly fashion.Ensures that matters are handled in an orderly and accurate manner from start to finish.Prevents mistakes.Invests energy in checking his/her work for mistakes.Client focus Identifying and actively responding to clients' wishes and needs.Deals with clients in a friendly manner.Shows involvement in the client's problem.Makes clients feel welcome.Approaches the client's question with a can-do mentalityPersonal development Being aware of one's own strengths and weaknesses: consciously working on personal development.Is focused on self-broadening and/or gaining more in-depth knowledge.Follows relevant training programmes and/or looks for opportunities to gain experience.Seeks and uses opportunities for personal development.Asks for feedback in order to learn
